Rose Music Center (All day)

Rock music’s immortal wild man and legendary singer of Twisted Sister Dee Snider is headed to Huber Heights, OH to rock the Rose Music Center stage on Saturday, August 25th. The show will feature support by special guests Warrant, Dokken and Downtread.ABOUT DEE SNIDERWhile perhaps best known as the lead singer of 80's sensation, Twisted Sister, there is so much more to Dee Snider. He has starred in several reality TV shows including appearances in three seasons of Celebrity Apprentice; Gone Country with John Rich; MTV’s Rock The Cradle with his son Jesse; Growing Up Twisted, an A&E series featuring the entire Snider family and their Long Island lifestyle; ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap, and Celebrity Holiday Homes.  He is also a frequent host on MTV Networks and his own long running nationally syndicated radio show House Of Hair is heard on more than 200 stations in North America. His career as a voiceover artist has resulted in Dee being heard in many radio and TV commercials, documentaries and a yearlong stint as the voice on MSNBC.Never setting limits, Dee wrote, produced and starred in Dee Snider’s StrangeLand. This horror flick has become a horror classic, literally creating the torture film sub-genre. StrangeLand 2 is currently in development. With the success of StrangeLand, Dee was tapped to host a weekly radio show on all things horror, Fangoria Radio, on the Sirius network. In 2002, VH1 signed Dee to star as himself in their original movie production of Warning: Parental Advisory.  Co-starring Mariel Hemingway, Jason Priestley and Griffin Dunne, Dee re-created his role during the congressional record labeling hearings of the mid 1980's.  Battling the Beltway wives, most notably Tipper Gore, Dee, along with Frank Zappa and John Denver, turned DC politics upside down, carrying the banner of Dee’s Twisted Sister legendary anthem “We're Not Gonna Take It”. Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't going to take it either.  The California Governator enlisted Dee to help rally his political troops all the way to the Governor's mansion in California.  At his last political rally in Sacramento, Schwarzenegger asked Dee to lead the way in singing “We're Not Gonna Take It”.   California listened and the Terminator was elected Governor.  Not to be outdone, the Mexican Government recruited Dee as well, using the anthem in an “anti-dishonesty” TV campaign to gain attention on their bid to set the country on a judicial road to recovery.   His recent starring role on Broadway in the hit musical Rock Of Ages generated national TV appearances on The Today Show, CNN’s Joy Behar Show and a legendary spot on The Jimmy Fallon Show where Dee guested with The Roots and Jimmy on Dee’s self penned hit, “I Wanna Rock”.  The Rock Of Ages run inspired him to make a brand new record for Razor & Tie, “Dee Does Broadway”, featuring some of Broadway's greatest songs, side by side with Broadway legends like Patti LuPone and Bebe Neuwirth, in his own indomitable style.  His self-penned autobiography, “Shut Up and Give Me The Mic”, was released in the summer of 2012 from Gallery Books/Simon & Schuster to critical acclaim, coinciding with Warner Pictures’ release of the Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta Jones, Russell Brand film version of Rock Of Ages. The movie features two of Dee's biggest hits.  Dee’s hit song-writing credits extend to many genres of music and have been covered by major artists the world over.  Celine Dion’s version of “The Magic Of Christmas Day (God Bless Us Everyone) was a significant part of her multi-platinum “These Are Special Times” album.  Dee continues to perform, both as a solo artist and as the front man of his band, Twisted Sister. Since starring in Rock Of Ages and recording his critically acclaimed CD “Dee Does Broadway, Dee Snider’s Broadway connection has continued to grow.  While currently writing a musical version of Mark Twain’s “Letters from the Earth” and producing the off-Broadway “Puppet Shakespeare” troupe, “Dee Snider’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas Tale” is coming to Broadway in Chicago this fall, with plans to bring it to the Great White Way in 2015.ABOUT DOKKENDokken exploded out of the boiling hard rock/heavy metal scene in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. 1983's “Breaking the Chains” with its catchy title track, set the stage for Dokken becoming the most dominant creative and commercial force in the world of Melodic Hard Rock for the following years. Such classic albums as “Tooth and Nail”, “Under Lock and Key” and “Back for the Attack” all became Multi-Platinum selling smashes and the live “Beast from the East” went gold in Europe and Japan. Songs like "Alone Again", "Just Got Lucky", "Into the Fire", "In My Dreams", "Unchain the Night", "Dream Warriors", "Burning like a Flame" and "Heaven Sent" are still nowadays regarded among the genre’s finest.Dokken has shared the stage with AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Kiss, Scorpions, as well as Bon Jovi, just to name a few. The band hit stadium status in 1988, playing in front of over a million fans in just five weeks. It seemed Dokken was on the verge of superstardom. But like so many other bands that have come before and after them, Dokken broke up his group in 1989. In 1994, the legendary A&R man John Kalodner offered Dokken a recording contract on the condition the group had to be original members. The band released the appropriately titled “Dysfunctional” in 1995 selling 450,000 copies, which by the mid '90s was considered by industry standards very respectable. But just as they were on the verge of releasing a second single, filming a video, starting a world tour and "taking it all the way", as Don Dokken puts it, the baggage from their past reared its ugly head, and again the group began to unravel. Soon after guitarist George Lynch left the group, he was replaced by Reb Beach (Winger, Whitesnake). They released “Erase the Slate” in 1999 Followed by their DVD “Live from the Sun” in 2000. In 2001, Beach was replaced by John Norum (Europe) and released the album “Long Way Home”. By 2003 guitarist Jon Levin came on board with the subsequent release of the albums “Hell to pay”. Lightening strikes Again’ and ‘Broken Bones’ and has remained with the group for over 20 years now. All 3 CD’s have been aclamained as a true and definite return to there classic sound. In October 2016, the original members of Dokken reunited for a brief Sold-Out tour of Japan, playing in several Arenas as well as co-Headlining the Loud Park Festival with the Scorpions. But as Don says, “It was fun to play with the original members again, but my current line-up of Dokken will remain so.”DOKKEN is now Don Dokken (vocals), Mick Brown (drums), Jon Levin (guitar) and Chris McCarvill (bass).  Dokken has survived and kept their loyal fans in a time when people's tastes change as fast as Britney Spears' wardrobe, they have been embraced by a whole new generation of rock fans. They recently played at ‘The Bang Your Head Festival’ in Germany as well as ‘Rambling Man’ in England receiving rave reviews. The group plans on a new record release in 2018. ABOUT WARRANTWARRANT was founded in 1983 by Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon when they were just 19 and 16 years old, respectively. Four years later, they were joined by Jani Lane, Steven Sweet, and Joey Allen in 1987. This line-up would go on to land a recording contract with Columbia Records (Sony) and ruled the airwaves and MTV in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s. Over the course of their career, WARRANT has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, with the song “Cherry Pie” taking on a pop culture life of its own, being featured in countless movies, TV shows, and commercials. Landing in 1989 with all the subtlety of a meteorite, the Hollywood, CA based band quickly rose through the ranks of the local Sunset Strip scene to multiplatinum selling, chart-topping levels of success. The band first came into the national spotlight with their debut album, Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. This album produced the radio and MTV hits “Down Boys,” “Sometimes She Cries,” and “Heaven”, which became truly inescapable. “Heaven” soared to gold sales and the album eventually sold over 3 million copies. The band toured the globe in support of the album, performing 262 shows and closed the year with a platinum selling home video release.Their sophomore album Cherry Pie was released in September 1990 and launched Warrant into the stratosphere. The album, which spawned the massive MTV & radio hits “Cherry Pie,” “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” and “I Saw Red”, went on to sell 3 million copies in the U.S. as well as achieving platinum success in Canada and Australia. The band hit the road hard again and played 200 shows, finishing the tour headlining outdoor sheds all over America and ended up being one of the top grossing touring acts of 1991. With those two massively successful commercial records, the band became known for their catchy anthems and songwriting skills. Said skills were on display on the band’s third album, Dog Eat Dog which went on to achieve gold sales despite the fact it came in the midst of “grunge” mania, when Warrant and their L.A. brethren had been pushed to the side by the major labels in favor of the latest trend in rock. WARRANT's signature style of rock music is to craft catchy songs, yet retain the melodic side. This remains the band's signature sound today. WARRANT has always been successful in carrying the torch. In September 2008, Robert Mason replaced Jani Lane (R.I.P.) as lead vocalist joining the other four original members of Warrant: Jerry Dixon, Steven Sweet, Joey Allen, and Erik Turner. In 2011, this line-up released Rockaholic on Frontiers Music srl. Produced by the Grammy award winning Keith Olsen, it as met with critical and fan acclaim, landing in the Top 25 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart. In 2017, the band, with the same line-up, returned with Louder Harder Faster, which landed in the Top 20, Top 30, and Top 100 on Billboard’s Independent, Current Rock, and Top Current Albums charts, respectively. This year, the band also recorded a cover of Merle Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink” which has been named the official song of the Professional Bull Riding Association. The band continues to tour constantly, playing to fans all over the U.S.  ABOUT DOWNTREADDowntread specializes in aggressive riffs, titanic drums and ferociously catchy songwriting.  After each glorious assault, you’ll be humming the chorus - even as you’re applying a tourniquet to your wounds. Riding high on lofty, classic rock vibes (if you dig ‘70s and ‘80s guitar with a 21st century growl, this is definitely your cup of lava), the Minneapolis group loves to swoop down into the gutter and twist the knife a bit.  It’s modern rock with a mean streak.Downtread’s 3rd Album “The War Behind the Wolf” is 10 tracks of fury and redemption, with topics covering today’s culture, imploding relationships and at least one song about a werewolf.  The band’s technical prowess has blossomed, the sound is bigger and heavier than Downtread’s first two albums, but the net effect is rawer:  more dangerous, less groomed. Audiences eagerly feed on Downtread’s near-lethal dose of energy, whether they’re in a nightclub or seeing the band in high-profile concert dates with Lita Ford, Warrant, Dokken, Firehouse, Halestorm, Trapt, Saliva, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Bret Michaels, Vince Neil, Ratt, Skid Row, and L.A. Guns. Downtread is hard at work on their upcoming 4th release and continues to tour and perform.
