That’s right “Dee-ciples,” my whole clan (Suzette, Jesse Blaze, Cody Blue, Shane Super and Cheyenne) are invading Lima/Cridersville, Ohio on August 20th & 21st for the renaming (albeit for one day) of Cridersville...SNIDERSVILLE! That oughta send property values skyrocketing! ;)

Even better, my family and I will be leading a March of Dimes, Bikers for Babies ride from Lima to Snidersville, a parade and all sorts of other festivities as well! So if you are anywhere in the area, please join me and the fam for this fun filled day. If can’t make it...yell really loud so we can hear ya!

And we will see you all Tuesday nights at 10/9c on A&E for “Growing Up Twisted!”

Growing Up Twisted - Tuesdays on A&E

Growing Up Twisted - Growing Up Twisted

Growing Up Twisted
NEW YORK, NY – June 30, 2010 – What happens when Dee Snider, the legendary front man of heavy metal group “Twisted Sister,” is the “quiet one” in the family? “Growing Up Twisted” follows the outrageous and oddball daily pursuits of the Sniders, who think their zany world is just real life, perfectly normal... only it's not. The seven episode series premieres with two back-to-back half hour episodes on Tuesday, July 27 at 10 PM and 10:30 PM ET/PT.

{youtube width="300" height="240"}hog-fvjaJhI{/youtube}
“Growing Up Twisted” explores suburban life in Long Island through the eyes of an off-beat but tight-knit family of six who are fiercely independent, strong willed and unafraid to speak their minds. There is Dee, a loving husband, father and newly minted grandfather who is the legendary front man of heavy metal group “Twisted Sister,” the host of the “House of Hair” radio show and the national spokesperson for the March of Dimes Bikers for Babies; his hot and feisty wife Suzette, a clothing designer and makeup artist and the glue that holds the family together, and their children: Jesse, 27, an aspiring rock musician, husband and new father; Shane, 22, the resident comic; Cody, 20, a budding filmmaker; and Cheyenne, 13, daddy’s little girl, who is making the tough transition to teenager.

Ronnie James Dio

Ronnie James DioA voice that helped define a music form has been silenced.  Ronnie James Dio--the voice that inspired legions of singers--is gone.  He was a great influence on me and I am grateful that I got to tour and hang with the man.  Kerrang magazine once said, he had a voice that could pierce chain mail.  True, but  it could also be so tender it would make you weep.  Ronnie was small in stature, but had the voice of a giant.  Thank God we have all his amazing recordings, so future generations will know the talent that was Ronnie James Dio!  Now raise your metal horns in the air in his memory! - Dee Snider

Sniders Star on A&E July 27th!

Growing Up TwistedTWO EPISODE PREMIERE - JULY 27 @ 10PM!
A&E is reloading primetime with a fresh crop of unscripted series that fit the channel's "real life drama" brand.

Joining the channel's roster of stars such as Gene Simmons and Kirstie Alley is one-time Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider.

"What we set out to do in 2003 was lay out a long-term play that introduces A&E to a wider, newer, younger audience," said A&E TV Networks boss Abbe Raven. "We stick to the plan, and started out one-by-one developing these franchises."

As a result, A&E's median age dropped from 61 -- in mid-2003 -- to 48. The channel also finished among the top 10 ad-supported cable nets in 2009 with adults 18-34; the channel placed a dismal 28th in 2003.

"I'm extremely proud of how we evolved," Raven said. "We haven't done it with just one show, but a number of shows consistently."
