Dee Describes Halloween Routine at the Snider House
Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, now making Chicago his home-away-from-home as he prepares to launch the world premiere of his stage musical “Dee Snider’s Rock and Roll Christmas Tale” (Nov. 4, 2014-Jan. 4, 2015 at the Broadway Playhouse), chatted with me recently about the show. Watch the Video
Of course, with Halloween coming up, and knowing that many a trick-or-treater back in the day donned Twisted Sister getups as their costumes of choice, I asked the singer-actor-producer-writer: What’s Halloween like at the Snider household:
Ironically, according to Snider, Halloween was the one night that Twisted Sister looked very different in concert.
“For a long time, we performed without our costumes [and makeup] on,” Snider said. “The lights would come on and we’d be in our street clothes. The whole audience would be in costumes!”
Snider also revealed that his teenage daughter, Cheyenne Jean, was born on Halloween. So there ya go.
