Dee Does Broadway!
Dee Snider, the Twisted Sister frontman, will join the cast of the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
Snider, who can also be seen in the A&E reality show “Growing Up Twisted,” will play nightclub owner Dennis for an 11-week engagement beginning Oct. 11 and continuing through Dec. 24.
He will also host “Rock Senate Hearings,” a weekly Tuesday-night talkback series beginning Oct. 19. The first of these sessions will feature Mick Jones, founder of the rock group Foreigner.
The musical comedy Rock of Ages borrows rock hits of the 1980s to tell the story of showbiz lovers in L.A. The score includes “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “I Wanna Know What Love Is,” “Here I Go Again,” “Don’t Stop Believin'” and more.
Rock of Ages is written by Chris D’Arienzo, directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Devine.
The cast currently features Joey Taranto, Emily Padgett, Josephine Rose Roberts, Adam Dannheisser, Mitchell Jarvis, Michele Mais, Paul Schoeffler, Derek St. Pierre, Jenifer Foote, Ericka Hunter, Jay Klaitz, Michael Minarik, Julie Nelson, Justin Matthew Sargent, Matthew Stocke, Sarrah Strimel, Becca Tobin, Andre Ward, Katie Webber and Jeremy Woodard.
