Dee celebrates 20 years and 1,000 shows with his national radio show, “The House Of Hair,” syndicated through Sun Broadcast Group. Dee’s special 1,000th episode will air this Saturday, February 11th. To celebrate, “The House Of Hair With Dee Snider,” is giving one lucky winner a GIBSON guitar, complete with amp and accessories. Listeners must tune-in and Shamaz to enter.

Since 1997, Snider has entertained listeners, across nearly 200 stations, on a three-hour ride, with his handpicked ’80s hair band music, from AC/DC to ZEBRA, and Metallica to Poison. 

Commented Snider, “When I started doing this show in 1997, grunge still had a death-grip on the airwaves and ‘heavy metal’ was a dirty word.  I wondered if anybody would be interested in listening to a bunch of ‘old hair bands.’  One thousand shows later, and in our 20th year, I guess I didn’t need to wonder. ‘Hair metal,’ as it’s so dismissively called, is not only the soundtrack of a generation, but the go-to music of whole new generations.  It seems that ‘The House Of Hair’ and the bands and songs it represents brings back one very important, but sadly missing element to the music scene…F-U-N!  If it ain’t metal…IT’S CRAP!”
